Markus’ Story

Markus is a senior from Dallas, Texas studying Mechanical Engineering on the Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship Track, with a minor in Mathematics. He is currently dual enrolled in undergraduate and graduate courses through Lyle’s very own Accelerated Pathways program in pursuit of a Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Outside of class, Markus represents Lyle within SMU’s Student Senate, is the president of SMU Water Ski, and an active member of Beta Upsilon Chi, SMU’s Christian fraternity. Throughout his time on the Hilltop, Markus has served as the Vice President of the Hilltop Motorsports race team, served as Secretary and Housing Manager for BYX, and completed multiple SMU leadership programs including Emerging Leaders, Cultivate, and FSLead.

Outside of campus, Markus serves as a middle and upper school elective teacher in Addison, serves on his K-12 school’s alumni board, and serves on the Texas board of the Future Problem Solvers Program.
